- Visas for Bermuda
If you are currently overseas and require a visa for Bermuda, you should apply through your nearest British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate. Please contact the Government of Bermuda's Department of Immigration if you require any further information (tel: +1-441-295-5151)
- Visas for the United Kingdom (UK)
Holders of British Overseas Territory Passports do not require visas to enter the UK.
Other passport holders should check on the UK Visas website whether they require a visa for the UK (www.ukvisas.gov.uk).
Anyone currently in Bermuda who does require a visa for the UK has to apply through the British Consulate-General in New York – applications for UK visas are not accepted in Bermuda. Full information can be found on the Consulate's website at www.britainusa.com. It is possible to apply on-line and courier the fee and any necessary documents, including your passport, to the Consulate in New York. Alternatively you can call the Consulate on 1-212-745-0362. Processing time is five working days plus mailing time.
- British Passports
Applications for full British passports are accepted at the Department of Immigration. All applications are sent to the British Embassy in Washington for processing. Please note that you cannot send your application direct to Washington – it will be returned to you. Your application must be sent via the Department of Immigration.
